Music and movement activities build and strengthen children’s natural musical abilities, providing inclusive, structured, multi-sensory experiences.  This presentation was offered to help learning specialists, psychologists, faculty, school counselors and staff use specific musical activities that support learning goals, while also providing practical applications of how to integrate music activities into learning.

Discussion focused on the use of music activities to enhance students’ self-regulation, executive functioning, phonemic awareness, and stress management, while demonstrating ways of assessing how children freely integrate their learning in spirited, creative musical experiences.
