This workshop, Childhood Should Be a Journey, Not a Race, supported the need to embrace some of the old wisdom.  Childhood is a wonderful time of learning, exploration, and self-discovery.  But have we interfered with that?  In the past several decades, we have made miraculous advances in technology and other fields.  Many of these advances have made our lives easier and faster...but what is the cost to us?  Some would say that we have come to move at a very fast velocity - out of synch with human nature.  Everything in nature moves from slow to medium.  Perhaps we were meant to move through life more like that.

Dr. Sherie Saner explored what current scientific brain research is saying about our ability to multi-task and wade our way through the bombardment of information and choices.  She also discussed some universal truths about human nature, and how they line up with current times.
